Policies and Requirements

Professionalism

Monica's Massage and Bodywork maintains a professional environment and reserves the right to terminate a session in the event of a client's inappropriate behavior, intoxication, infectious condition (i.e. flu, cold, etc.), or sexual advances. Therapeutic massage is strictly non-sexual. If client expresses interest in a sexual massage, the therapist will terminate the massage immediately and payment for appointed service will be rendered in full. Termination of a session is completely at the discretion of the therapist without a requirement of explanation.

State of Being

Be prompt. Sessions begin and end at scheduled times.

Be fed, but not overfed. Do not eat a heavy meal less than two hours prior to the treatment.

Be clean when you arrive for the treatment.

Be present (not under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

Confidentiality

Client information is kept strictly confidential. Your therapist respects client confidentiality and will not share identifying client information with outside parties.

State of Dress

Dependent upon type of massage, massage therapy is ideally performed with the client fully disrobed. Partial or full disrobing is highly recommended for your massage session. We create a very safe space and give great attention to proper draping and appropriateness. Please show the therapist and maintain professionalism by maintaining appropriate coverage. If you have any further questions with regard to state of dress and coverage during a massage, please feel free to discuss this further with the therapist.

Interoffice Courtesy

Monica shares office-space with several other therapists. Please quietly enter the office assuming another massage is in progress. We request that cellular phones and beepers be turned off upon entering the office and during the course of the massage session.

This office is a non-smoking environment.

Due to their unpredictable nature, no children or pets may be brought to the facilities.

Cancellation

At the minimum, give 24 hours notice of a cancellation. Last minute cancellations may be subject to full session payment. Emergency cancellations are determined at the therapist's discretion. If the therapist must cancel your session, you will be notified as soon as possible. Last minute cancellations by the therapist will result in a discount being applied to your next massage.

Payment

At this time, the only supported payment methods are cash, check, and PayPal^®. If paying via PayPal^®, you must do so prior to the massage — bring the receipt as proof of payment. Please refer to the Rates and Pricing page for further information.
