What to Expect

From the Massage:

Massage increases blood flow/circulation and stretches tissue. It can relieve subcutaneous scar tissue, reduce pain, relieve stress, and improve overall health and well-being.

From the Therapist:

Upon arrival, a client intake form and policy agreement document will be given to you to complete. Monica will then review these documents with you to determine the best method of massage treatment for you.

Paperwork now complete, Monica will walk you to the massage therapy room, where you will be left alone, in privacy, to disrobe to your comfort level (completely nude is strongly recommended). You will lay down and relax on the massage table under a sheet. After several minutes, Monica will return and knock on the door.

Once invited back into the room, Monica will enter; close the door again; and begin your massage. Your time will start when she physically begins the massage.

During the massage, you always have the option of having the therapist adjust the pressure of her movements. You can also request areas of concentration or avoidance, if you did not do so during the preparatory stages of this session.

Monica is a professional massage therapist and reserves the right to refuse requests that delve outside of generally accepted practices and the stated policies. She reserves the right to terminate the session if client behavior becomes inappropriate or unprofessional.

At the end of the massage, you will be quietly informed of the completion of the session and left alone in the room so that you can get dressed. There will be a towel laid out for you to wipe off any excess oil.

After you have dressed and gathered your belongings, you will meet Monica in the reception area where you can have a cold cup of water (fluid intake after massage is highly recommended) and possibly schedule your next appointment.
